[ACTION / TEXT / VOICE / VIDEO]
NOTE: PETER HAS TWO EARPIECES! One for Spider-Man, and one for Peter. If you need to reach out to Spider-Man, you can do so here as well. Just be aware that it doesn't show Peter and Spider-Man as the same person.

not a shooting matter, and she drops it with a large sigh, so heavy as if it had been sitting on her throat for several days before she lets it out.)
Do you think double patricide counts on negatives on the whole saving the world thing?
no subject
... I think it's probably frowned upon, yeah.
[Lightly spoken, with a touch of humor. Doesn't mean he's not taking it seriously, because something's clearly bothering her.]
What's going on?
no subject
(she isn't going to shoot him, which means her gun is back to her hip, allowing her arms to wrap around her small figure. she's upset, visible from the way her fingers tremble to how her face seems stuck with her eyebrows frowned and her lips pressed thin.
it doesn't even bring out a chuckle. she's too mad, and he's going to have to do some puzzle-solving to get this out of her in a cohesive manner.)
Silco and Vander. They despise each other, you know? That kind of hate that makes your eyes bleed, and your veins pop, and that buzzing noise in your head turns everything to silence until there's nothing else there other than that. I thought that since I'm, I could fix them; or at least, fix... Something.
I'm all for the big ol' knife on arm, but not when... I told them to cool it. And then Vander strolls around with a brand new, not dead, completely fine family? So fast? When I'm right here? That's his thing, anyway. Protector of the broken children, you know.
Where does that leave me?
no subject
Full of complicated relationships. Two... dads, right?
[Well, this is definitely not his usual call to action, per se. But someone in need of something, be it rescue or a listening ear — that's what being Spider-Man's all about. Well, and... Peter just wants to be useful to someone he knows. Two things true at once, and all that. He leans on the guardrail with his arms, listens attentively and tries to piece together the puzzle.]
... Wait — are you the daughter Vander mentioned?
I mean, he said he has two. On the network.
[It's good to try and get all the pieces in place, especially when you walk into a show on episode 25 instead of starting from the pilot.]
no subject
(the fact he is behind the mask both relieves and rattles. she doesn't know what expression he might be doing, so it may be any at all.
to avoid either, she's not going to send a glimpse his way. the exhale she gives even bring her eyes to a close.)
Surpriiiiise. My parents died in a Zaunite Uprising, he took me and my sister in when we were little. Then he shoved off dead, and Silco took me in. Are you surprised?
no subject
I feel like it's way more common than you'd think.
[The idea of being taken in by different parental figures, anyway. He knows a thing or two about that. As he moves to let his legs dangle, he considers the situation carefully, as an uninvolved observer. (Vander's dead, huh? That's a whole other depressing thing to digest, too.)]
Soooo... both parents showed up here, and they're not getting along. You're mad at both of them, because they can't seem to put their own history on the backburner for you.
no subject
(not where he was going, but dealing with jinx when her brain is mush is half-learning how that she hears what she hears, even if it only makes sense to her.)
... No. Yeah. Kinda. Vander...
(how does she put this?)
Vander lost the other kids, only me and Vi are alive. I-- it was an accident, you know. I wanted to help, and I made it all worse, and... Everyone just-- poof. Died. Because I went there. So, when I look at him in that train, smiling, with a whole peachy, breathing family? He replaced me, so, so fast, and now that he doesn't have that, he's-- back. 'Oh, the one kid I do have is pissy with me', fuck off. All these petty squabbles over how we chose to deal with Zaun, their whole squabble thing, back and forth. You can read it for yourself, it's all out there.
And Silco... I killed him, too. Few months back. I told him we need to get our shit together, and you don't know me super well, but let me tell you this, if I am telling someone to get their shit together, then it means it's bad. Instead, he's out there, fighting Vander left and right because he drowned Silco a billion years ago. Baby.
I guess, bottom line? Screw the backburner, and I'm going to give both of them a piece of my damn mind. Second bottom line? Everyone close to me dies, so you might, you know, count your blessings while you can.
(she's so resolute when she stands, hand back on her gun, and she's really about to go.)
1/2
Then you've got another parent she'd killed. From the sound of it, she doesn't hate him; maybe it was an accident? A horrible thing that had happened, that she couldn't take back? It seems like this Silco guy still has a relationship with her, if him and Vander's arguing is causing this kind of tension. He is not even gonna touch that drowning was involved.]
Wait!
[He holds up his hands, and there's a long pause.
What is the best way to help cool this situation off? Make her feel better?
... Ah.]
no subject
Parkour!
no subject
her eyes roll, because of course he's going to tell her not to, it seems to be his whole thing after all, when she's much the opposite. she's about to turn, yell a very irritated 'WHAT' when he tells her a word that she has never heard before.
she's never been more confused. what was initially going to be a snap turns into a tilted head, frowned eyebrows and her voice a softer display of bewilderment.)
... What?
no subject
[His finger lowers, but he persists:]
Ever hear of parkour? Or free-running? Basically, it's just moving from one place to another as fast as you can, using whatever you can to decrease the time it takes to get there.
... It's a fun way to take your mind off stuff and burn off some steam.
And I could use the practice.
no subject
(he did disarm jinx with the sheer confusion, and right now, well. she does not want to murder anyone, all things considered.
maybe, just maybe, if she takes long enough vander will leave and she will thus escapes dealing with anything for a little while longer. she will not even let him have much time to reply, the trail of pink the last he sees of her in that spot before she is sitting right next to him with her arm extended.
just admiring her mismatched long nails.)
Lay the ground rules.
no subject
Not a lot of rules involved! You start at one end of Nova City and then get to the other side using whatever structure is in your way. Points for creativity and actually using the infrastructure instead of just flying over the whole thing like a superhero with the power of flight; totally boring to just use flight, for the record.
[It almost sounds like Peter has challenged someone (Iron Man) to a race, only to be disappointed that he just flew from point A to point B in a straight line. Rich people, man. They don't understand the thrill of getting somewhere creatively on a budget!]
no subject
(sure, there are all types of things in this place, but flight happens to be one that went right over her head in the realm of possibilities. she's still not even sure if she buys him being TACKY completely, her hand moving to squeeze his arm with no explanation as to why.
it was just to see if it would be impossible to take it away after.)
Take me up to the top of a building, and then we take it from there.
no subject
Peter, meanwhile, just blinks his big white bug-eyes before grinning under the mask.]
You want to zipline to the top?
no subject
Aren't you supposed to be a nerd? Just like Jayce, bet these are definitely for show.
(or she is just offended that she is a twig, and then there are the two other three nerds she knows. two out of three are twigs, and viktor probably is equally twiggy to her.
offensive.)
I thought you would just walk up a wall again.
no subject
Did you think I'd be a challenge if that's how I got around?
[He points his webshooter upward and fires one thin but strong line; it finds the best spot for momentum — and then without warning, he proceeds to grab her around the waist and immediately catapults them straight up into the air toward the tallest and most nearest building roof!]
WOOOO!!
no subject
she does wrap one of her arms around him for security, but it is hardly a strong hold because the other one is in the air as she giggles through the experience. freeing and she can even land without losing balance once they reach a surface again.)
... THAT WAS SO FUN. This is how you live!?
no subject
Well, yeah. My city is full of hundreds of buildings like these! [As he talks, he casually cuts off the web and lets the length of it flutter to the ground under them.] The only way to really get around in a place that full of places and people is to web-sling.
[It's so freeing. One of the best parts of Nova City is getting that nostalgic feeling of home.]
no subject
At least architecturally speaking, then you'd love Zaun. Think someone dug a very tall mountain-sized hole in the ground, divided it by sectors, and then put a bunch of super tall platforms and buildings up to the surface. We got pipes, pillars, hell of a bunch of rusty metal stuff to jump from one place to another, so this "parkour" thing kinda just feels like going from hater rich town, privilege-infused Piltover down home. Wanna know what we do? We dive.
(And she just steps to the side, only to fall on one of the windowsill below. If he goes to look, he'll see that the glow has her moving to the roof of a smaller building. Zero fear, it's fine, it's Tuesday.)
no subject
Hey! You didn't say we were starting already!
[He doesn't sound particularly mad about this, though...! A little amused more than anything. It's just nice to have a chance to do a little exercise with someone other than Me, Myself, and I.]
no subject
(And just like him, she's not really mad. The adrenaline from how she was just scooped and swinging is still very much present, just as the thrill of dropping from the building gives her a little taste of much needed nostalgia. As soon as he stops distracting her, she might go back to being irritated, but right now she is having fun.
Genuinely like that? It's rare when Isha is not in the picture. So, she'll jump to grab his wrist so she can hitchhike until the next building is in sight so she can let go.)
no subject
[He doesn't mind being used as a lift, though. If anything, it's something he's kinda used to. He makes sure to swing himself toward the building low enough that she can land easily on her feet without issue. Once he knows she's got herself planted properly on the rooftop, he releases the web and rolls forward to pop up on his own feet.]
Name-calling though? Really? [He puts a hand to his chest.] This loser's feelings are hurt.
no subject
(She's joking, she knows he isn't hurt, no Peter Parker's feelings were hurt in the production of this grounding exercise. She just keeps going, the pink glow showing mostly when she needs to go from a building to the next, a structure down, a structure up, of when she wants to get him to pick up the pace until...
Until after a good while, she finds a shade on the ground, and just starfishes there. Because she's dead. Good job, Peter, all the maniac energy was well spent. Once she's sure he isn't in her range, she picks up her pistol to shoot twice in the air above her. A blue, electric blast of energy is released into the air, but it dissipates as it reaches nothing to latch on.)
There. Two shots. Happy?
no subject
[Now he's just saying that to be obnoxious!
As they reach the end of their little voyage, Peter lands beside her and crouches down, looking like... well, like he's not even a little out of breath. What he lacks in her speed, he makes up for in endurance! Getting from one end of a city to another is just, like, the usual hourly business. He watches with fixed interest as she fires into the sky, his mask's big white eyes tracking up into the air.
He looks back down to her.]
Depends. Are you feeling a little better?
