[He is... way in over his head. It's hard to know how to handle a situation you weren't there for, one where there's no nuance to read from. She seems to believe that Vander replaced her — Peter can't really speak to that, because he doesn't know Vander like she would... but he also knows the way Vander spoke about her. He clearly cares, clearly loves her.

Then you've got another parent she'd killed. From the sound of it, she doesn't hate him; maybe it was an accident? A horrible thing that had happened, that she couldn't take back? It seems like this Silco guy still has a relationship with her, if him and Vander's arguing is causing this kind of tension. He is not even gonna touch that drowning was involved.]
